Ultra High Strength Grout

Ultra High Strength Grout

Ultra high strength cement (UHS) grouts are used in grouted connections which require 28 day characteristic strengths up to 120MPa. These types of grout are synonymous with monopile transition pieces for offshore wind foundations.

The foundation designs for greenfield oil and gas structures very rarely demand ultra strong bonds, as ordinary Portland cement (OPC) grout provides a connection that is more than sufficient.

However, along with OPC, UHS grouts can be used for extending the service life of platforms by member filling to improve member strength, and for grouted repair clamps where high strength/low viscosity, and reliable void filling is essential.

Ultra-high strength grout is mixed using equipment from FoundOcean's Pan Mixer, and Super Pan range at rates from 12mper hour.
