FoundOcean, the subsea and offshore cementing specialist for the global energy construction industries, has successfully completed jacket skirt pile grouting of BP Serrette, Total K5CU, Maersk Halfdan and Premier Oil Vietnam Offshore Chim Sao in April 2010.
BP Serrette is the first development in the Northern Area of the Columbus Basin and is located approximately 32 miles north of the Mango development. A FoundOcean crew of 4, led by Project Engineer Colin Barrett, was contracted by Heerema Marine Contractors to grout four skirt piles at BP Serrette in the BPTT Serrette Field in Trinidad & Tobago.
Heerema also contracted FoundOcean to grout 12 skirt piles at the Maersk Olie og Gas Halfdan Phase 4 Development Project in the Danish Sea at 43m water depth; and 4 skirt piles for Total’s K5CU Development Project in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.
Saipem contracted FoundOcean to grout six skirt piles at a water depth of 95.4m. The site is located in Nam Con Son Basin approximately 400km from Ho Chi Min City.
Operations and QA Director, John Hudson commented, “Pile grouting is FoundOcean’s core business. We’re delighted to have worked once again with Heerema and Micoperi, and continue our long standing relationship with them.”
