All our policies are reviewed annually to monitor effectiveness and to ensure the process of continual improvement is maintained.

 

Health & Safety Management Policy

FoundOcean recognises that the disciplines of health and safety are an integral part of its management function. We view these as a primary responsibility and to be the key to good business in adopting appropriate Health & Safety Standards.

Our Health & Safety Policy calls for continuous improvement in its Health & Safety Management activities and business will be conducted according to the following principals:

As a minimum, we will:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Follow a concept of continuous improvement and make best use of its management resources in all matters of Health & Safety
  • Communicate its objectives and its performance against these objectives throughout the organisation and to interested parties
  • Take due care to ensure that activities are safe for employees, associates and subcontractors and others who come into contact with our work, including the general public
  • Work closely with our customers and suppliers to establish the highest health & safety standards
  • Adopt a forward-looking view on future business decisions that may have health & safety consequences
  • Train our staff in the needs and responsibilities of Health & Safety Management
  • Support all those who refuse to undertake work on the grounds of health and safety


Accidents & Incidents

FoundOcean has established and maintained procedures for defining responsibility and authority for

  • The handling and investigation of accidents, incidents and non-conformances
  • Taking action to mitigate any consequences arising from accidents, incidents or non-conformances
  • The initiation and completion of corrective and preventive actions
  • Confirmation of the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions taken


Safety Training of Personnel

All FoundOcean personnel working offshore have undertaken an Offshore Survival Course and subsequent refresher courses at an approved Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Board Centre.

The courses involve training in the following areas:

  • Helicopter Underwater Escape Training
  • Enclosed Lifeboat Abandonment Drill
  • Wet life raft Drill
  • Fire fighting
  • Survival Drill at Sea
  • First Aid

All of our personnel are experienced or supervised in safe working practices and are familiar with the necessary safety precautions and procedures.

 

Quality

FoundOcean is a specialised offshore engineering and grouting contractor and concrete products manufacturer. FoundOcean is committed to continual improvement in the quality of the products and services they provide. In particular FoundOcean have the following quality requirements:

  • To develop and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) which meets the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2008
  • To comply with applicable industry best practice standards, to which the company subscribes
  • To plan and achieve continued improvement in quality through the setting, implementation and regular review of policies, objectives and targets
  • To improve the effectiveness of operational controls to ensure customer requirements are achieved
  • To ensure staff are competent in their role and where necessary are provided with appropriate training
  • To require that all suppliers meet, and where possible, exceed company standards for quality, health & safety and environmental performance

Every employee has a responsibility in assisting the company to consistently meet high quality standards and where possible identify improvements in operational practices.
