FoundOcean invests in grouting and Flooded Member Detection equipment

In response to increased demand, FoundOcean, the specialist offshore engineering company, is investing in new grout mixers and enhancing its cement tank fleet in 2009.
The company has completed two new mixing systems with a third under construction, increasing its total mixer fleet to 20. The new mixers incorporate the latest safety standards including DNV-certified lifting frames, as well as the latest mixing technology.
In addition FoundOcean is enhancing its current cement tank fleet, and has taken delivery of two 50-tonne lift-full DNV-certified cement tanks. A further two are under construction, and the company has taken options on further 50 and 100 tonne lift full units. With these new silos, FoundOcean’s cement tank fleet capacity now exceeds 2,000 tonnes.
Jim Bell, Managing Director of FoundOcean, said: “This new grouting equipment will be located in key offshore construction centres around the world. This will allow FoundOcean to execute more projects and react faster to customer requests. We continually update the company’s assets to ensure our equipment provides the latest technological and safety features.”
