FoundOcean is awarded Guendalina Platform contract by Micoperi

The FoundOcean 10V grouting spread that will be used for the project
FoundOcean, the subsea and offshore grouting specialist for the global energy construction industries, has been contracted by Micoperi to grout the annuli between the jacket sleeves and the piles at The Guendalina Platform, to be installed in the oil and gas field of the North Adriatic Sea. The jacket, a monopod with three foundation piles, will be installed in a water depth of 42m.
Martin Hardy, Technical Director for FoundOcean comments, “We have over 45 years’ experience in foundation pile grouting for the offshore energy construction industry and have worked with Micoperi on 11 platform installations over the past 6 years. We’re delighted to have been awarded this contract and look forward to working with Micoperi on this and future projects.”
The grouting operation is scheduled to commence in February/March 2011. FoundOcean will mobilise offshore grouting equipment from Ortona, Italy and personnel from Ravenna, Italy.
